"The Space Between explores the layered nature of memory and family history. Yuli Sato and Katerina Vasilas work with archival photographs from Japan, England, and Greece, interwoven with their own contemporary photographs, to construct a visual language that evokes the emotional and sensory dimensions of personal archives.
Through weaving, layering, selective cropping, and the incorporation of organic elements and textures, they offer glimpses into untold stories—depictions of landscapes, portraits, handwritten notes, and personal objects—that prompt reflection on family history, identity, and the role of photography in shaping our perceptions of the past." - Press release.
